Crispy rendang chicken? Malaysian chef says 'Why not?"

While everyone’s bickering over how chicken rendang is not supposed to be crispy, a chef in Malaysia has done just that.

She whipped up a dish that has a fried drumstick topped with rendang sauce and shared the photo of the dish on her Facebook page on Wednesday (April 4).

From the looks of it alone, crispy chicken rendang looks pretty yummy.

“Here you go ‘MASTERCHEF, (here’s) your kind of crispy rendang chicken dream come true,” Yenni Law from a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur wrote.

With the popularity of her Facebook posts, it appears that the item has actually made it to her restaurant’s menu as a “Chef’s special”.

Who knows, this might just spark the next food trend.
