TRUMP AND KIM COCKTAILS
Several bars here are offering cocktails featuring the Korean spirit, soju, to mark the event.
Hopheads, a tapas bar at Clemenceau Avenue, will offer the “Bromance”, made with beer, tequila, diet Coke and soju, the distilled rice liquor many Koreans consider their national drink.
Diet coke is used as “it is Trump’s favourite beverage”, said the bar’s manager to Reuters.
The drink mixes 150 ml of Asahi black beer with 60 ml of diet Coke, 20 ml tequila and 30 ml white grape soju.
As it is a “bromance” after all, the cocktail will only be served in pairs, at $19.90 for both.
Gastropub Escobar’s special drinks are named “Trump” and “Kim”. The former is a blue, bourbon-based cocktail and the latter is red, with soju as its base. Each is priced at $12.60, a nod to the date of the meeting.
Owner Stan Sri Ganesh said both drinks use equal portions of alcohol, to avoid controversy about which was the stronger.
And lucky for you if you’re a member of the media. Said Ganesh: “We are also inviting all delegates and media who are in town for the summit if they need a place to wind down,” he added. “Their first drink will be on us.”

Trump-Kim Nasi Lemak
For something a little more local (read: not a burger), there’s a nasi lemak with a twist.
Offered by new nasi lemak brand Harmony Nasi Lemak, it combines dry-aged beef from the United States, with kimchi, basmati rice, and sambal with ikan bilis. The price? $21 nett. It is also intentionally served in a bowl, and with chopsticks, to mark US and North Korea coming together in Singapore.
