Batman (Ben Affleck) spots his signal. Though there were rumors that Affleck would be giving up the part, he made it clear at the Comic-Con panel that he’s not going anywhere.

When an unidentified someone with a giant gun strides through a metal detector without stopping, who you gonna call? No, not the Ghostbusters, silly.

The gunman strides by as a group of schoolgirls and their teachers attempt to take cover. Countdown to an Amazon arrival in one … two …

And … there she is.

Oh, seriously, people — you need to learn that shooting a bullet at Wonder Woman is like gently tossing a Frisbee at a regular person.

Wonder Woman plays the innocent card; cleaning a statue, discussing her boring weekend.

Back on Diana’s home island of Themyscira, the Amazons are guarding a Mother Box (a kind of living computer) when suddenly, a boom tube (an extraterrestrial portal, associated with Cyborg in comics) opens up.

This looks to us like Aquaman swimming towards a throne, with someone else seated on it.

Sure, maybe you can open your eyes underwater, but not like Aquaman. He doesn’t even need Visine.

“Honestly, I think we’re all gonna die,” says Aquaman bluntly. Naw, too many sequels and solo films already lined up.

Here come the parademons, the creepy shock troops of Apokolips.

“One misses the days when one’s biggest concerns were exploding, windup penguins,” says Batman’s loyal pal Alfred (Jeremy Irons).

Steppenwolf’s axe is pretty terrifying. Here, he strikes the ground and breaks out rivers of lava.

Flash shows himself the newbie of the group more than once in the trailer. Here, as the other main four strut impressively, he whispers, “It’s really cool you guys seem ready to do battle and stuff, but I’ve never done battle…”

“…I’ve just pushed some people and run away,” Flash explains to Batman.

Looks like Steppenwolf isn’t going to let Atlantis alone, but Aquaman might have something to say about that.

Just including this for Wonder Woman’s awesome pre-punch facial expression.

In a pretty cool sequence, Aquaman stabs a parademon he’s battling in midair, and rides the body down to safety.

And in the final scene, Alfred says, “You said you’d come. Now let’s hope you’re not too late.” Do you see the outline of a broad-shouldered dude, perhaps one wearing a red cape? Just us, then?
